UltraViolet SUCKS and if Best Buy and Wal-Mart want to force people to use it, it should be free.  Why should it be free?  Because if you seriously think I’m going to pay $5 a movie to convert my over 500 DVDs you must be smoking crack.  The data of what movies I own ALONE should more than cover whatever fee’s you’ll incur not to mention all the tracking I know you’ll be doing.  Like how often I watch it, what device I watch it on, if I watch the whole thing through, I could go on.

By making the service free they will be flooded with marketing data on who they can sell what crap, I mean products too.

In fact by making it a ‘free’ service, you’ll be earning the good will of the customer and encouraging people to buy >more< movies.  (Because see they won’t have to shell out $5 more dollars for something they already purchased and can use that towards the $20 new release)
